Oil and Gas Mechanical Designer

Temp to Hire

$30/hr

Summary:  Designs pipeline equipment for the oil and gas industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Performs new and revised product design using CAD equipment
• Develops fabrication 2D mechanical drawings complete with bill of materials from P&ID’s and/or concept drawings? Prepares completed layouts for final product design from simple sketches.
• Determines scale, performs complex mathematical calculations and prepares layout for detailing.
• Makes decisions regarding design suitability using knowledge of specified product materials and production processes.
• Requires thorough knowledge of drafting techniques, engineering terminology and manufacturing materials.
• Works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner.

Education and/or Experience: 

• A minimum of 5 – 8 years of AutoCAD experience in Industrial mechanical design work is required. 
• Prefer experience in gas metering systems. 
• Must have computer skills – MS Excel, Word, and Outlook. 
• Prefer a bachelor’s
