Position Summary:
Lumenor Consulting Group is seeking experienced Claims Adjusters to support the client's Third-Party Liability Department. This is a high-impact, temporary assignment addressing increased claims volume due to post-COVID ridership growth. The role involves comprehensive management of third-party claims related to bodily injury and property damage.
Key Responsibilities:
Claims Investigation and Evaluation
- Conduct in-depth investigations of third-party incidents involving the client's assets.
- Gather and assess accident reports, witness statements, surveillance footage, and medical documentation.
- Determine liability and evaluate financial exposure.
- Upload and manage documentation using RMIS and collaboration tools (MS Teams, Origami).
Claims Management and Resolution
- Develop and implement resolution strategies within 14 days post-evaluation.
- Negotiate settlements using sound judgment within authorized limits.
- Maintain clear and timely documentation of all claim activity in RMIS.
- Proactively manage deadlines and communications for efficient claim closures.
Litigation Support
- Coordinate with the client's legal counsel for case referrals and trial preparation.
- Participate in case roundtables for high-value or complex claims.
Subrogation and Recovery
- Identify and pursue reimbursement opportunities from liable third parties.
- Manage subrogation workflows to recover repair/replacement costs.
Reporting and Data Analysis
- Create dashboards and analytical reports to track trends, performance, and risk.
- Present data-driven insights to support internal risk mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of liability claims investigation experience.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in RMIS platforms and reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of motor vehicle regulations, tort law (DC, MD, VA), and subrogation practices.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and common injury treatments.
Professional Skills:
- Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Experience working with legal teams and understanding litigation processes.
Work Environment & Expectations:
- Primary work location: New Carrollton, MD.
- Remote work may be authorized by the client.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
